Chrismas 2008 was a wild and fun time to say the least. The boys were loaded up with enough toys to last them until next Christmas. With three little ones next year, it's going to be even more interesting. Speaking of number three, we found out on January 2 that we will be having another baby boy. He is due the first week in May. Holly says he's more active than Caleb, but not quite as active as Jacob was in the womb (which is definitely a good thing....). Jacob NEVER stopped moving, and he still hasn't. His personal record for sitting still while he's awake is 12 seconds.
Caleb (now 3 1/2) is still in preschool two days a week. It's hard to believe he's going to be in kindergarten in 1 1/2 years. His imagination is running wild right now. Every story he tells is exciting no matter what it's about - his imagination makes even the most mundane activity an adventure. He's collecting a bunch of costumes (fireman, cowboy, pirate, Robin Hood) and loves to dress up and play. (There are plenty of pictures of his different characters on our pictures website listed below.) He is full of personality and enjoys himself no matter where he is and no matter what he's doing. He also played a Nintendo Wii for the first time and seemed to enjoy the boxing.
Jacob (15 months) has been walking for about 5 months now and is into everything. He has to be the quickest 15 month old around. He is able to pull a chair out, climb up on it and be on top of the kitchen table in less than 10 seconds. He is basically Caleb's shadow wherever he goes and mimics everything Caleb does (which is how he learned to climb on top of the table...). We are really thinking he is going to be left-handed - it's still too early to tell but he does almost everything with his left hand (eat, throw, grab, etc.). He's not saying many real words, but is using sign language and understands everything - one of these days he's going to just blurt out a complete sentence and then there will be no looking back.
As for the two of us, I just finished up my third year at Golden Rule Insurance in nearby Lawrenceville, IL working as an underwriter and Holly is working a day or two a week at the surgery center in Vincennes and staying at home with the kids the rest of the time. We have been helping with the youth group at our church (Vincennes Free Methodist Church) on Wednesday nights and I have been playing in a co-ed volleyball

league through the parks department one night a week. I volunteered with the South Knox High School girls volleyball team this fall and was itching to play again so that's been fun.
